Slackin', notes from the Rogue

"You got a real attitude problem.  You're a slacker.  You remind me of your father when he went here.  He was a slacker too."    Mr. Strickland, Back to the Future.        Clean green meanies. Castles, 38th.   7/16/2014

Yeah, it's been a busy summer.  Busy at work.  Busy at home.  Busy on vacation (Northern Michigan- another post, maybe).  No excuses.  I've been slackin', plain and simple.  Ain't got in the water.  Ain't got in the gym.  No running.  Slacker. However...I've started to make the turn.  Hit the gym twice this week, and most importantly, felt the Atlantic's stoke both last Thursday and yesterday.  Thunderstorms cleared out earlier in the week and it's been thigh to stomach sets and everything in between.  Water a little cool Thursday but yesterday, back up in the mid 70's.  Keep 'em coming!
That's right, another beer on the wall.  Lagunitas Night Time Ale, the only time I've had to have a beer.  A smokin' Black IPA rated at 65 IBUs and 8.2% ABV.  No more than two bombers needed for this baby.  Aromas of orange peel, toffee, and herbal hops.  Strong coffee taste with my favorite hop finish. Pours dark brown, almost black and thick.  One finger light brown head with good carbonation and lacing.  Couple of these and it's witching hour.  Rated a B+.
