Up On It, the Rogue's session log.

Chopped up, slopped up shorebreak. 38th and Castles, 8/3/2023.
Over the shorebreak. Seriously. Thigh high. Maybe a waisty here and there. Sectioning. Right breaking. Weak. Only jacked when it was up on it... meaning the beach. Got close a couple of times, only to back off before drilling a header. Even had some passer-by chirp like a scared squirrel- her voice of concern, when she thought I was goin' for it. Patience is not my virtue. Yet, I had it in spades today. To no avail. I'd say I wasted 60+ minutes, but time in the surf is never wasted. Warm (88F). Humid (77%). Water 'bout 76F. Wave conditions just weren't cooperative. So, my wife and I packed it up. Headed up the road to Belly Busters Deli on 45th. Cup of spicy crab soup to route out the waterlogging. Couple orders of Shrimp Fajita Tacos. And a beer- of course. Helped take the sting outta of being waxed on rides.

Squishy. Gummy. Yeah... good description of the evenings conditions. Reviewed brew... Squishy Gummy Northeast Hazy IPA presented by Chicago's Noon Whistle Brewing. Cloudy. Hazy. Juicy. Citrusy. Resinous. Tangerine. Grapefruit. Pine. There, aromas and tastes combined. Wonder if they brewed this with gummies? Very smooth drinking. Too smooth at 7.1%. Not at all boozy. Yin and yang balance of malts and 3 types of hops. Lip smacking hop finish (est. 50 IBUs). If only the surf had been as good as this beer. Talk about perfect balance. Rated an A.
